QueryPie Expands Its Access Control Platform with AI Capabilities

An AI extension package that enables secure AI adoption on top of enterprise access control—from natural language data analytics to server and Kubernetes operations.

QueryPie, a provider of enterprise data security and AI platform solutions led by CEO Inseo Hwang, today announced the launch of AI Pack, an extension package that integrates AI capabilities into its Access Control Platform (ACP).

Traditional access control solutions have primarily focused on managing user access to enterprise systems while providing approval workflows and audit logging. As enterprises increasingly adopt AI for data analysis and operational tasks, however, there is a growing need to ensure that AI access to enterprise systems is governed under the same security policies and access control framework as human users.

AI Pack addresses this need by seamlessly integrating AI capabilities into QueryPie’s Access Control Platform.

Within QueryPie, users can interact with AI Chat to query and analyze data using natural language. Instead of writing SQL statements, users can simply ask questions such as, "Analyze customer usage trends over the past three months," or "Which service experienced the highest growth?" The AI automatically generates and executes the appropriate queries by understanding the structure of the database, including schemas, tables, and columns that the user is authorized to access. As a result, users can retrieve the information they need without understanding database schemas or writing SQL.

All AI-generated queries are executed according to QueryPie’s existing access control policies. Results are presented not only in tabular format but also as visualizations such as charts and graphs. The AI further summarizes the results, identifies key trends and anomalies, and provides insights to support faster and more informed decision-making.

AI Pack also extends AI capabilities beyond databases into infrastructure operations. Using natural language, users can check server status, inspect Kubernetes Pods and Clusters, and analyze logs and access histories. This enables operators to quickly obtain operational insights without manually navigating multiple management consoles and tools.

In addition, AI Pack provides QueryPie’s access control capabilities as Model Context Protocol (MCP) services. This allows organizations to leverage QueryPie’s security and access control features across a wide range of AI environments, including Claude, Cursor, and internal AI agents.

Through MCP, AI agents can perform tasks such as querying databases, retrieving server information, requesting access permissions, and reviewing audit logs. All AI-driven operations continue to follow the organization’s existing access control policies.

For example, even if an AI agent queries a database, it cannot access data that the user is not authorized to view. Operations requiring additional approval must still follow the organization’s existing approval workflows. Furthermore, every request and execution result is recorded in audit logs, ensuring complete traceability.

By extending AI capabilities while preserving existing access control and audit policies, enterprises can safely expand the use of AI without compromising governance or security.

With AI Pack, QueryPie plans to evolve its Access Control Platform beyond traditional privilege management into a comprehensive AI-powered enterprise operations platform. Users can securely retrieve and analyze data under the same security policies they already rely on, while administrators can manage servers and Kubernetes environments more efficiently with AI assistance. Organizations can also centrally govern access permissions, approval workflows, and audit logs even when integrating external AI agents.

“As enterprises adopt AI more broadly, AI itself must operate within existing security policies and access control frameworks,” said Inseo Hwang, CEO of QueryPie. “ACP AI Pack enables organizations to leverage AI securely on top of their access control platform.”

“As AI continues to evolve, we expect more data retrieval and operational tasks previously performed by humans to be assisted—or even carried out entirely—by AI. QueryPie will continue to advance its platform by combining AI with enterprise access control, enabling customers to improve both productivity and security at the same time.”

About QueryPie

Founded in Silicon Valley in 2016, QueryPie AI is an enterprise security company specializing in data and system access control solutions optimized for both cloud and on-premises environments.

In June 2020, QueryPie officially launched its Access Control Platform (ACP), developed by engineers and industry experts with experience at Kakao, NAVER, and other leading technology companies. Since its launch, ACP has evolved into a comprehensive platform for managing access control and auditing across enterprise data, infrastructure, and business systems. More recently, QueryPie has expanded the platform with AI capabilities, enabling organizations to adopt AI tools and AI agents while consistently enforcing access control, approval workflows, auditing, and sensitive data protection under a unified security framework.

QueryPie has also expanded into the enterprise AI platform market with the launch of its AI Platform, which connects AI agents to all enterprise SaaS applications, data sources, and internal systems to enable intelligent workflow automation and enterprise AI transformation (AX). The platform includes AI applications developed and operated by QueryPie, such as Lingo, a real-time AI interpretation service, and NotePie, which transforms internal enterprise data into documents, reports, presentations, and other business-ready content.

QueryPie AI delivers a trusted security platform for enterprise customers backed by globally recognized security certifications and compliance standards, including SOC 2 Type II, CSA STAR, PCI DSS, ISO/IEC 27001, and ISMS-P.

The company has raised $36 million in funding from global investors, including Y Combinator, Salesforce, and Z Venture Capital, a SoftBank Group company. Today, approximately 80% of South Korea’s unicorn companies use QueryPie AI, and the company is accelerating its global expansion across Japan, the United States, and Southeast Asia.
